The studio automation system is a system that connects the key equipments of the studio through Ethernet and triggers to control them work. The main supported equipments include robotic camera system, video server, video switcher, signal scheduling matrix, digital mixer, online subtitle graphics system, digital dimming system, etc.
The robotic camera system controls the robotic pan tilt head and the camera installed on the jib arm through network protocol. It's the motion of jib's XYZ, pan tilt head, zoom, focus and aperture(full servo lens). It can also run the pre stored position of the robot camera, the linear motion between points and the curve motion between multiple points.
The video server is connected and controlled through network or serial port 422. Different manufacturers adopt different control protocols. After the nonlinear edition network completes the video editing, the video files are migrated to the video server through the film review process to complete the MD5 verification, then, give the program ID to the document serial list to generate the video server playlist. The control system controls the broadcast list to trigger the operation of the video server in sequence.
The video switcher is the main equipment of signal synthesis, which is mainly connected and controlled through network or serial port 422. Firstly, the video switcher station is required to support open external control protocol. Then, according to the protocols of different manufacturers, it has the functions of controlling the intersection, key, auxiliary channel of the switcher. In actual use, level 1 ME is mainly responsible for signal switching and subtitle up key, while other MEs are responsible for scheduling window opening signals for graphics equipment.
The signal scheduling matrix is mainly connected and controlled through network or serial port 422. The matrix is required to have an open control protocol. It is mainly used for the preparation of input signal source of switcher and the scheduling of graphics windowing signal.
The digital sound mixing console is connected and controlled through network or MIDI, and support volume adjustment of each audio channel.
The digital dimming system is connected and controlled through network or MIDI. The standard MIDI SHOW CONTROL protocol is adopted, which can trigger the macro command, marshalling command and single light command of the dimmer.
The online subtitle graphics system is triggered to control through the network. The online graphics control determines which subtitles layer to display, when, seconds, and when the subtitle not to display. The original manufacturer is required to provide relevant control protocols.
The studio centralized control broadcast system is the core of the whole centralized control. It completes the broadcast production according to the needs of the program, and controls the work of each equipment through the automatic process of broadcast, so as to realize the automatic control and scheduling of video, audio and light; Support customization and integration with existing equipments and systems in the TV station.
